Cataclysm Horde leveling guide from level 1 to 60
Cataclysm is here, Deathwing has risen and changed the face of Azeroth forever, and nothing is as it used to be. Zones are changed and not just in appearance but they also changed your gaming experience, especially the leveling part of the game changed. How to find your way through all this mess? It is easy to get lost even for the most experienced players and that is why we are here to help.
We will go through zones by levels and tell you where to head off next, making it much easier for you to level up.
1-10 Starting zones
Durotar – here you will finish up your first quests and once you reach level 10 you should head to the Northern Barrens or Azshara.
Mulgore – home of the great Tauren race, once level 10 go east to Northern Barrens or Azshara.
Eversong Woods – far north of the Eastern kingdom and home of the Bloodelves, from here go south to Ghostlands at level 10.
Tirisfal Glades – when you get to level 10 head south to Silverpine forest.
Kezan and the Lost Isles – starting zone of Goblins, once you do all quests they will lead you to Azshara.
10-20
Azshara – has changed a lot in Cataclysm and is much more fun for leveling - stay here till you reach level 20 and then head to Ashenvale.
Northern Barrens – once done questing here move north to Ashenvale.
Ghostlands – be quick and get to level 20 and move to Silverpine Forest and then to south east to get to Hillsbrad Foothills.
Silverpine Forest – once you complete your quests here you should be at least level 20 so move east to Hillsbrad Foothills.
20-30
Hillsbrad Foothills – You will have no problem leveling up to 25 here, and once you do you should go east to the Arathi Highlands.
Arathi Highlands – here is where you will most likely first run into alliance players, gank them good and get to level 30.
Ashenvale – another 20 – 25 zone from here you will venture south to Stonetalon Mountains.
Stonetalon Mountains – level up to 30 here and move south to Desolace.
30 – 40
The Cape of Stranglethorn – 30 – 35 level zone - from here you will take a boat to Southern Barrens and travel to Dustwallow Marsh.
Dustwallow Marsh – not a pleasant area but it will get you to level 40 - from here you will move south to Thousand Needles.
Desolace – 30 – 35 zone from here you will move on south to Feralas.
Feralas – level 35 – 40 zone once you reach 40 move east to Thousand Needles.
The Hinterlands – once you reach level 35 move northwest to Western Plaguelands
Western Plaguelands – here you should get to level 40 and move over to Eastern Plaguelands.
40 – 50
Eastern Plaguelands – once you get to level 45 move to Badlands
Badlands – you will not stay here too long so don’t get too comfortable, as soon as you get to lvl 48 move to Searing Gorge.
Searing Gorge – if you like you can still level up here even past level 50 but it is recommended to move directly to the Burning Steppes.
Thousand Needless – 40 - 45 area, as soon as you reach level 45 move south to Tanaris or travel far north to Felwood.
Tanaris – very interesting zone you should be able to reach level 50 here and move west to the Un’Goro Crater
Felwood – level 45 – 50 zone not a usual place to level but if you do go straight to Winterspring when you get to level 50.
50 – 60
Winterspring – level 50 – 55 zone - very fun and enjoyable, once you are level 55 move to Silithus or Blasted Lands.
Un’Goro Crater – a real jungle zone - reach level 55 here and move to Silithus.
Burning Steppes – you got here as level 50 or higher get to level 54 or 55 and move south to the Blasted Lands.
Blasted lands – level up until you hit level 58 and then head through the portal to the the Outlands where you can quickly level up to level 60.
Silithus –level up to level 60 and then head to the Blasted Lands where you can take the portal to the Outlands.
If you happen to get stuck head to your capital town and see if there are any quests available. You might find a Heroes Call quest that will lead you where you need to go next.
