WoW Herbalist Guide 1- 525 Cataclysm

Free WoW Herablist Guide 1 - 525

There are a total of eleven primary professions in WoW. From these three are gathering and eight are crafting professions. With gathering professions you are able to harvest materials needed for crafting professions like ores, gems, herbs and skins. Remainder of the materials are usually acquired as a byproduct of a certain profession or obtained by killing monsters. Herbalism is one of the three gathering professions since it enables you to harvest various herbs that can be found throughout the game. Herbs are necessary for professions like inscription or alchemy. Like all professions, herbalism does offer a unique bonus to your character in the form of skill called Lifeblood that at maximum rank (rank 7) will heal minor wounds and grant you 240 haste rating for 20 seconds. Furthermore it will grant you experience each time when you pick a herb, making it an excellent profession choice while leveling.

Leveling herbalism goes great in hand with leveling a character. Herbalism can be learned from a trainer located in any major city or settlement. No tools are needed for herbalism but a herbalism bag is a good choice if you tend to farm a lot.

Herbalism skill 1-70
Once you have learned herbalism you may want to start leveling it and the best zones to start are Tirisfal Glades and Elwynn forest which are abundant with Silverleaf, Peacebloom and Earthroot.

Herbalism skill 70-150
Move to Hillsbrad foothills where you will farm for Mageroyal, Briarthorn, Bruiseweed and Frozen herb; which can be found easily on the mountainside of the Ruins of Alterac.
Herbalism skill 150-225
As soon as you hit a skill of 150 travel to Western Plaguelands where you will farm Liferoot, Fadeleaf and Khadgar’s Whiskers.  Set up a route around the northern part going around the edges of hills, nearby farms and on the lakeside.

Herbalism skill 225-285
Travel east to the Eastern Plaguelands where you will find an abundance of Khadgar’s Whiskers and Sungrass that will get you to 285 skill. Best route would be going by the edges of the zone without going to Plaguewood as you will find no herbs for you there.

Herbalism skill 285-325
Venture into the Swamp of Sorrows to farm Sorrowmoss, Stranglekelp and Golden Sansam. You can leave for Hellfire peninsula at skill of 300, 325 or even reach 350 here and completely skip the Outland part.

Herbalism skill 325-350
Hellfire peninsula is covered in Felweed and farming it will easily get you to 350. Best route would be by the edges of the zone.

Herbalism skill 350-400
Travel to Northrend and once there go to Howling Fjord where you will farm Goldclover to skill of 400. Goldclover is scattered around the map so it will be easy to get your skill up.

Herbalism skill 400-435
Wildlife of Sholazar Basin will provide with enough Goldclover, Tiger’s lily and Adder’s Tongue to reach 435 skill. You will want to go in circles around the map (most outer circle) which would be the optimal route.

Herbalism skill 435-450
Icethorn and Lichbloom are found in the narrow valleys and canyons of Storm Peaks; farm them to reach 450 skill and then move to Kalimdor.

Herbalism skill 450-475
Mount Hyjal is your destination, farm for Cinderbloom and Stormwine until you reach 475 and move to Deepholm. Best farming route for Hyal is consisted of green areas of the map, roads and around the Sulfuron spire.

Herbalism skill 475-525
Travel to Deepholm and gather Cinderbloom and Heartblossom until you reach maximum skill, circle the temple of earth traveling to the far edges of the zone to visit Needlerock Chasm, Pale Roost, north part of Crimson Expanse, Twilight overlook and Silvermarsh.
